Sense of Fashion and Beyond

Our small town celebrated the festival every 25th of January. Having a grand celebration once a year it never fails. The local people always prepared months ahead for the occasion because visitors from other cities/towns are expected. The local town officials would always hire or pay different band just so the town will be jolly and local people would enjoy during the event and so the visitors will come back for the next time occasion.

Last January’s festivities the local officials did great for hiring the band who brought the greatest music instrument including the Gon Bops Drums. Everybody gives a thumbs up for the band as they played music wonderfully and plus the fantastic sounds. I didn’t hear any criticism nor complaining at all. I heard that the town officials are going to hire the same band again next year. I hope it will happen because it makes the local people so happy and the town so lively.

This was taken inside the plane bound to Cebu on our first day vacation. It was the four kids first plane ride. My two boys felt the dizziness during take off but it went away fast. Other than that, they did great. The flight went just fine. I could say that it was an adventure trip taking so many kids at once, and not to mention a first timer to every flown in the plane. I’m glad they just went with the flow so it was not so hard going through at the airport security entrance than what I thought. Though the flight was a very short one since Ozamiz to Cebu it only took 40 minutes. Our family adventure started out in the plane as I had to explain and helped them about seat belts and other things what to do before take off. Anyway, the pictures attached are my crew [kids] inside the plane.

I love to listen in any kind of music except the rap. When I’m home I always play the media player in the computer just to listen my favorite songs. It helps me get rid of the stress sometimes. Most of the music I listen to is from the 70′s, 80′s and 90′s. I just love the soothing tunes most of those old songs simply because it is not boring at all.

Anyway, once in my life ever been to a studio when a DJ friend of mine took me to his work. It is amazing seeing him controlling the Vestax Typhoon right at his fingertips. It was awesome seeing a person actually operating this kind of music instrument. A great experienced indeed. And I have my friend to thank for.

I told my brother to get exede satellite internet because he kept complaining about being out in the country and not able to really talk to any of his friends. His boss stationed him in this rural Georgia outpost and though he was excited about it at first I think the novelty has quickly worn off. He’s really not liking that there aren’t any places to go out at night and that there are only two restaurants in town and he says the people there really keep to themselves and that there aren’t any young people to hang out with. I don’t know what he was expecting but I told him this is what he was getting into and it’s for his professional career so if you ask me he needs to just suck it up and deal with it. I don’t know why he thinks that because he’s 30 years old he gets to have everything lined up perfectly but I keep trying to tell him that’s not the way the world works!

It is so good to be back home from our vacation. We all had a blast. And the kids still so excited for a fact that they got to go different places. Most places that we went to were so exciting especially for them being able to see lots of different animals and been to a lot of different interesting places. I am so happy for my children that they got to enjoyed their summer vacation this year. Our first day in the city I took them to the mall just chilling out and had lunch at the Kenny Rogers. They played at the kids playing area for couple of hours, did some window shopping and had a dinner at the Pizza Hut afterwards.

On the second day, I took them to the Taoist Temple it is just like a small version of the great wall of China. The kids enjoyed it so much because of the scenic beauty on the place especially if you are at the very top of the temple. We were there for more than an hour as for the kids wanted to see every corner of the temple and of course seeing the dragon it amazed them. The Taoist temple tour went great despite of the scorching heat was upon us and the tiring walk on the endless stairs. I’m glad they appreciate and enjoy it. At least they now understood that the world is bigger than what they thought. Afterwards, we went to the mall again and had a light lunch, went back to our hotel room and rest for couple hours before dinner time.

We went to TGI Friday’s for dinner as for a birthday treat to my older daughter. It was quite a pricey dinner, but the husband decided that we should have a good dinner especially it was for my daughter’s birthday. I’m glad that we did went there because we all enjoyed our delicious meal. I can say that it was quite an adventures for us all especially the children didn’t know how to order food in the American Menu and the amount of the food per serving. I had to explain and helped them how to order their meal.

Anyway, the story of our Cebu vacation will be continue in the coming days and more pictures will be posted….

I am a stay at home mother since we have so many kids. Life is totally different now as we have priorities. We have to think it through before making any decision. But there were times that I felt helpless for not working or getting a real job outside. I’d wished that I’m working and earning to able to help the household financially even just for a little bit. But of course the kids are the number one priority so the decision has been made. Having four children I can’t possibly go to work and leave the kids behind. I want to be a hands on mother so I chose to stay at home and takes care of my family.

Someday when the kids are old enough, I will definitely going to get a job maybe a part time to start with. I wouldn’t mind working to any retail stores nearby. It wouldn’t hurt to apply any target jobs online as my preference is to work not so far away from the house just because I so hate driving. Anyway, that would still be several years from now though and anything could happen, so we will see what the market has for me by then.

We are all so ready. Our luggage all packed and good to go. Only two more nights away and we will be on our way. Off to Cebu. It’s going to be so much fun taking the kids to places that they’d never been before. I have several places on my list where to take them that are more interesting yet fun.

This is quite an adventure trip for us all especially the children. I can’t wait for this trip so does the kids. So exciting! It is good for the children to go some places so they’ll know that there is still the outside world other than in this small town we are living right now. I’m pretty much sure they are going to learn a lot from this trip. This is a really good time to spend with my children while on vacation. We are going to bond as a family.

School year is about to end pretty soon, and I bet high school graduating class are so excited. But now since I have my daughter, I could no longer wear high hills because it is hard for me to walk around carrying an infant. When my sister first introduced me to the flats I shrugged off the idea because it is not really me. Is hard to break the habit of wearing hills for I have wore high hills most of my life. But I become to love wearing flat shoes the longer I stayed here. It actually looks great with blue jeans or even with shorts.

And besides, wearing flats it is easier for me to walk around especially when I go somewhere. Also it helps my arches for it doesn’t hurt compared the high hills. It doesn’t hurt my feet at all which I’m so glad. I attached some pictures of the shoes that I found online. Those are the kinds of shoes that I would love to buy somehow.

When my husband’s friend bought a unit in the hanger in one of the smallest airport around Fort Worth, he invited us to his place. I have never thought that somebody actually lives there until we step foot in the hanger. To my surprised there were so many of them who bought units and live there and actually owns a small jet including my hubby’s friend. I just don’t know what model planes those are though, but am pretty much sure that they were expensive. Honestly, when I saw most part of the hanger I was like, wow! It was amazing really especially to those who customized their units already. The inside was unbelievably amazing beyond my expectations. I guess when people got money there is no question how they afford to buy a pad inside the hanger and a private jet for their own convenient.
